Welcome to SnapSeal ("we," "our," or "us"). SnapSeal is a camera watermark and photo frame application developed by the SnapSeal Team. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how our app works.

Our Core Principle: SnapSeal processes all your photos entirely on your device. We do not upload, collect, or store any of your photos, personal data, or usage analytics.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. SnapSeal is designed with a privacy-first approach. Specifically:

  • We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identifiers.
  • We do not collect analytics, usage statistics, or crash reports.
  • We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any form of user tracking.
  • We do not collect device identifiers or advertising IDs.
  • We do not create user accounts or require registration.

3. Photo Access & Processing

Photo Library Access

SnapSeal requests permission to access your device's photo library. This permission is used solely to allow you to select photos for watermark and frame editing. You may grant or revoke this permission at any time through your device's Settings.

Local Processing

All photo processing occurs entirely on your device. Your photos are never uploaded to any external server. The edited images are saved back to your device's photo library or shared via the system share sheet — all under your control.

EXIF Data Reading

SnapSeal reads EXIF metadata (such as camera model, lens information, focal length, aperture, shutter speed, and ISO) embedded in your photos. This data is used exclusively to display camera information in watermarks. The EXIF data is:

  • Read and processed locally on your device.
  • Never transmitted to any server or third party.
  • Never stored separately from the photo itself.

4. Network Requests

SnapSeal makes minimal network requests. The only network activity is:

  • Camera Brand Logo Downloads: The app downloads camera manufacturer logo icons from our server (https://xuankong.chat/logos/) to display in watermarks. These requests do not include any personal data, photo data, or device identifiers. Only the logo image files are downloaded.

No other network requests are made. No data is sent from your device to our servers or any third-party servers.

5. Third-Party Services

SnapSeal does not integrate any third-party services, including but not limited to:

  • Analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics)
  • Advertising networks or ad SDKs
  • Crash reporting services
  • Social media SDKs
  • User tracking or attribution services

6. Data Storage & Retention

Since SnapSeal does not collect any personal data, there is no data retention to speak of. All app preferences and settings are stored locally on your device and can be removed by uninstalling the app.

Downloaded camera brand logos are cached locally on your device for performance. This cache can be cleared by uninstalling the app.

7. Data Security

While we do not collect or transmit personal data, we are committed to the security of the app itself. Your photos remain on your device and are processed using Apple's native frameworks, benefiting from the built-in security features of iOS.

8. Children's Privacy

SnapSeal does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction). Since our app does not collect any personal data from any user, it is safe for use by individuals of all ages.

9. Your Rights

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no personal data for us to provide, modify, or delete. You have full control over:

  • Granting or revoking photo library access permissions via iOS Settings.
  • Deleting any locally stored app data by uninstalling the app.
